Silver Creek plunges about 100 feet over a distinctive bulbous cliff and the falling water makes me think of ladies tresses. Golden Falls is accessible from the same parking lot and it is also about 100 foot drop. They are located 23 miles east of Coos Bay just past (9 miles) the community of Allegany, OR. Photo: 4/20/2010

Leslie Gulch is located near the upper end of Owyhee Lake near the Idaho border. The rock formations are gorgeous and well worth the visit. The road is auto accessable when it is dry but you probably should have four wheel drive when it is wet. They also warn you to watch out for flash floods. The rock formations tower above the roadway and they are very colorful. Early morning is considered to be the best time for viewing the rock formations. Photo: Leslie Gulch 7/13/2006
